Friendly, prompt service and the scale rules look fantastic. Have already recommended to a few fellow business owners.

What's the best student scale ruler?

What's the best student scale ruler?

The Rulex® Metric A triangular scale ruler is regarded as the best student scale ruler - why?

Technical design, interior design and architectural students will need a number of standard metric scales during their studies.  Most plan, elevation and section drawings of buildings are printed out at a scale of 1:100 or 1:50 so that the whole building can fit onto a sheet of A1 paper (a common paper size for architectural drawings).  Whereas the scale 1:200 is often used for site plans, showing the external areas of a building such as the car park and drainage layouts and sketch schemes.

Land Registry uses 1:1250 for all development sites within urban areas and is often a scale requested by planners.  However, land in rural areas tends to use the 1:2500 scale for ordnance survey mapping.

On the other end of the scale (excuse the pun!) are the larger scales such as 1:20 which is a great scale used for internal room layouts showing individual furniture and fixtures and electrical layouts.  The scale of 1:10 is a typical scale for the more detailed joinery drawing of a bar servery in a pub, for instance and 1:5 or 1:2 is used for a detailed drawing of joinery items such as bespoke furniture and timber panel details.

The good news is that the Rulex Metric A triangular scale ruler has all these standard metric scales on just one ruler!  There are actually 12 different scales: 1:1. 1:10, 1:2, 1:20, 1:5, 1:50, 1:100, 1:200, 1:500, 1:1000, 1:1250 and 1:2500 all for a competitive price.  Many cheaper scale rulers do not have all of the standard scales required for your whole design course which may leave you needing to buy several.

The Rulex triangular scale ruler is manufactured in the UK to ensure increment accuracy and product quality.  It comes supplied in a reusable rigid plastic case to keep it protected in student rucksacks.

All in all a great choice for the architectural design student as well as any professional requiring a quality precision scale ruler.
