Artwork for printing on scale rulers should ideally be supplied as a vector eps file for Illustrator. All text should be saved as curves/outlines. For digital printing, we are also able to use hi-res jpegs (300dpi or higher).
If these cause a problem, please let us know and we'll be happy to talk about other options. If needed, we are happy to re-draw simple designs free of charge. More complicated designs may incur an additional cost (subject to sight of design).
The print area for each ruler are shown on the relevant product page.
Most of our orders are now printed digitally which uses a CMYK process. With this process all pantone references are changed to their closest CMYK equivalent. This means that exact pantone matches can't be guaranteed.
With screen printing, we use pantone references for colour matching and are only able to print using solid colours, any tints in a design usually have to be treated as a separate colour. We use coated inks (c) for screen printing, so please ensure that you check using a pantone guide, or other reliable source, to see exactly how the colours will look.
